2. Intended Use of Products

All products sold by River Peptides are strictly intended for:

  • Laboratory research

  • Scientific education

  • Analytical or industrial use

Our products are not intended for:

  • Human or animal consumption

  • Medical, therapeutic, or diagnostic purposes

  • Use in food, drugs, cosmetics, or household items

By purchasing from River Peptides, you confirm that:

  • You are a qualified individual, organisation, or institution.

  • You have the required facilities, training, and authorisation to handle chemical research materials safely and legally.

  • You will comply with all applicable UK laws and regulations, including those set by the MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency).

3. Age Restriction

You must be at least 18 years of age to access this website or place an order.

4. Product Information

We make every effort to ensure that product descriptions, specifications, images, prices, and availability are accurate. However:

  • River Peptides reserves the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions.

  • We may update product information or cancel orders if necessary, without prior notice.

5. Order Acceptance

All orders are subject to:

  • Acceptance and availability of stock

  • Verification of compliance with our intended use policy

  • Compliance with promotional terms; introductory offers (e.g., “WELCOME10”) are strictly limited to one use per household/customer. The creation of multiple accounts to bypass these limits is prohibited and may result in order cancellation.

We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order for any reason, including suspected misuse, promotional abuse, or non-compliance with legal or regulatory requirements.

6. Liability Disclaimer

River Peptides disclaims all liability for:

  • Improper handling, storage, or misuse of products

  • Consequences resulting from failure to comply with safety regulations

  • Use of products outside of their intended research scope

The buyer assumes full responsibility for safe handling and legal use of products.

7. Shipping, Delivery & Loss

  • Orders are shipped in accordance with our Shipping Policy.

  • Delivery times are estimates and may vary due to postal delays or customs processes.

  • River Peptides is not responsible for delivery delays outside our control.

  • Once a parcel has been scanned and accepted by Royal Mail or another courier, custody and delivery liability transfer to the carrier. River Peptides is not responsible for delays, damage, or loss occurring after handover.
  • Royal Mail defines a parcel as lost only after seven (7) full working days have passed from the expected delivery date. River Peptides will open a formal investigation with the carrier once that threshold has been reached.

  • In most cases, delayed parcels are located and delivered within the investigation period. If the courier confirms a parcel as lost following investigation, River Peptides will offer one of the following remedies:
    (a) Re-dispatch the order at 50 % of the original purchase cost, or
    (b) Issue a partial refund once the courier’s claim outcome is confirmed.

    This policy applies particularly to high-value research orders (£500 and above), as standard carrier compensation limits (typically £150 per parcel) do not cover the full value of such shipments.

  • Customers are responsible for ensuring that all shipping details provided at checkout are correct. River Peptides cannot replace or refund parcels sent to an incorrect or incomplete address supplied by the customer.
  • All products supplied by River Peptides are intended for laboratory research use only and are not for human or veterinary administration. As such, these shipments are treated as specialised research materials, and standard consumer goods return rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 do not apply.

8. Returns & Refunds

Returns and refunds are subject to our Refund Policy. Generally:

  • Products must remain unopened, unused, and in original packaging.

  • Refund requests must be submitted within the time frame stated in our policy.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on this website—including but not limited to logos, branding, images, graphics, text, and product descriptions—is the property of River Peptides Ltd and is protected by UK copyright and intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, distribute, reproduce, or use any content without our express written permission.

10. Legal Compliance

You agree that:

  • Your use of our website and purchase of products will comply with all relevant UK laws and regulations, including chemical safety standards.

  • You are solely responsible for ensuring compliance with all legal obligations in your jurisdiction related to the storage, handling, and use of research chemicals.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the website will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
